Nothing is better than having the beautiful, luxurious hotel-style bathroom of your dreams. Realistically, however, there is a limit to the amount of money available. You can renovate your bathroom on a budget by following some of the available methods below.

Keeping fixtures where they’re at

A bathroom renovation can be very expensive when it comes to plumbing. Keeping your toilet, vanity, tub, and/or shower in the same place can save you money on the plumbing. Fixtures, including the toilet, require a lot of work to relocate. As long as your fixture placements in your bathroom work, you can leave them alone.

Don't fix what isn't broken

Renovating a room naturally makes you want everything new. This is not always necessary, however. A four or five-year-old toilet that works just fine doesn't need to be replaced. If you want to update the look of your toilet, put on a new toilet seat and handle.

Alternatives to tile flooring

Tile floors are common in bathrooms, but vinyl plank flooring can save money. It is also considerably cheaper to install a laminate floor than a tile floor; in most cases, you do not need to remove your old floor. By doing so, you save money on demolition and disposal costs.

Self Demolition

Try completing some demolition yourself if you have a few DIY skills. But be mindful of your limitations. If you lack plumbing expertise, avoid disassembling your bathroom shower. It does not restrict you from removing the related wallboard and the tiles from the interior of the tub or shower, though. You can save on labor costs with your contractor if you do the demolition and disposal yourself.

Flea markets

If you need new lighting fixtures, mirrors, or hardware for your home makeover, visit your neighborhood flea market or garage sale to save money.

Cosmetic renovation

As said prior, a fresh coat of paint can go a long way when renovating on a budget. New hardware is typically readily available and affordable.
There are several ways to lower costs when renovating a bathroom. Creating a list of needs and wants is a smart place to start. Think about what purchases are worthwhile and what you can do without.
