Bathrooms are one of the most frequently used areas in our home. One moment it may be sparkling clean and suddenly be messy again in the blink of an eye! That can be a bummer, especially when you have a large family in your home.
That’s why the bathroom may not be your favorite area to clean, that’s why Home Alliance gathered some tips on cleaning your bathroom. These will clean your bathroom and make it easier and faster for you to make it tidier than before!
Vinegar and Baking Sodas are your best friends
These kitchen essentials help clean your bathroom faster and are much more affordable! Spraying vinegar[and a little dish soap if the smell bothers you] in your bathroom tiles can help with tough grime. And baking sodas helps with stubborn molds and mildew but also slow drains!
Clean your showerheads
It’s easy to ignore these, but showerheads are also one of the dirty things in your bathroom. Look up and see all the dirt and grime, ew! That’s why you should do these easy steps to clean it!:
- Place white vinegar and a few tablespoons of dish soap in a microwave and heat it for two minutes.
- Make a spray bottle and spray directly on your showerhead to remove all the dirt and grime.
Easy as 1, 2, 3, and now you have a clean showerhead!
Refreshing the dirty grout
Grout can build up bacteria and be porous, yikes! Luckily, all you need to do is scrub all the discolored areas with a grout brush dipped in bleach. Make sure to properly ventilate the room right after.
Hack for toilet brushes
One of the worst chores is scrubbing the toilet clean. You can’t be one of the people that clean the toilet with a toilet brush only to put it back inside the holder, no way! Here’s a hack to clean the toilet brush before you put it back in the holder:
- Rinse the brush by flushing clean water over it. Then close the lid and seat over the handle so it can drip dry.
- This is optional, but if you want to keep the brush fresh for the next time, you can add some white vinegar and water to the brush holder.
This way, you don’t need to worry about the dirty water that builds up in the toilet brush holder.
Freshen up your bathroom
One of the ways to make your bathroom smell fantastic is to clean your bins! Make sure to clean the inside of your bathroom bin, hose down all the residue, then spray it with disinfectant. Other ways to ensure your bathroom smells good are replacing the old shower curtains, letting air circulate freely, and using air fresheners!
