Question 1

Should I repair my old furnace or replace it?

Accepted Answer

We give you an honest read after testing it. Many heaters we see are well over ten years old; if a repair makes sense we say so, and if it doesn't, you can ask for a replacement quote at the same visit.

Question 2

Will a repair void my manufacturer's warranty?

Accepted Answer

If your system is still under the manufacturer's or installer's warranty, check with them first. We are an independent company, and some warranties require their own technicians.

Question 3

What filter does my furnace use?

Accepted Answer

Check the frame of the filter for the printed size and share it when you schedule.

Question 4

Do you work on heat pumps and mini-splits too?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We diagnose heat pumps and ductless systems in heat mode, including defrost and reversing valve problems.

Question 5

My heater hasn't run since last winter. Should I get it checked?

Accepted Answer

A fall check is a good idea, especially if the system is older or sat unused. Small problems are easier to fix before cold weather.

Question 6

What should I check before calling?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the thermostat mode and batteries, the breaker, and the furnace's service switch, and replace a visibly dirty filter. If the heat still doesn't come on, call us.
