I AM REPLACING THE OUTDOOR UNIT, DOES THE INDOOR UNIT NEED REPLACING?
The outdoor unit, also known as the condenser unit and the indoor unit, also known as the air handler are two separate units. Each unit works independently and does not need to be replaced if the other is. The role of the condenser is to remove heat from the system, while the role of the air handler is to condition and circulate the air.
