What is a GFCI?
A GFCI is a type of electrical outlet that has a "test" and "reset" button in the center (ground fault circuit interrupter). It instantly cuts off an electrical circuit when it notices that the current isn't flowing correctly. Additionally, it is employed to lessen the possibility of electrical shock from outlets placed near wet surfaces or countertops.
