How do I fix the F78 error on my Miele dishwasher?
The F78 error code on a Miele dishwasher usually indicates a problem with the water intake. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue: 1. Turn Off the Dishwasher: Start by turning off the dishwasher and unplugging it from the power source for safety. 2. Check Water Supply: Ensure that the water supply to the dishwasher is turned on and functioning properly. Make sure the water supply hose is not kinked or blocked. 3. Clean Water Inlet Filter: The dishwasher's water inlet valve has a filter to prevent debris from entering. Turn off the water supply, then disconnect the water inlet hose and check the filter. Clean it thoroughly and reassemble it. 4. Water Pressure: Verify that your home's water pressure meets the dishwasher's requirements. Low water pressure can lead to intake problems. 5. Check for Leaks: Inspect the dishwasher and its surroundings for signs of water leakage. Leaks can lead to water accumulation triggering the error code. 6. Check Water Inlet Valve: The water inlet valve itself might be faulty and not allowing water to flow properly. Test the valve for continuity using a multimeter if you're comfortable with appliance repairs. If it's malfunctioning, consider replacing it. 7. Restart the Dishwasher: After addressing the potential causes, restart the dishwasher and observe whether the F78 error code reappears. 8. Run a Test Cycle: Run a short test cycle to ensure the dishwasher fills with water and operates as expected. Monitor the cycle to check for any water intake issues. 9. Contact Customer Support or Technician: If you're unable to resolve the F78 error code or if you're uncomfortable performing the steps above, it's recommended to contact Miele's customer support or a professional appliance technician. They can provide expert assistance and diagnose any internal problems. Remember to prioritize safety when working with appliances. If you're unsure about any step or if the issue is beyond your expertise, seeking professional help is the best approach to ensure the dishwasher is fixed correctly and safely.

If you guys are willing to give them a call so they can get the parts for you and do the service yourself since there's a 10-year warranty on the motor. I don't know if you guys would do that, but I was wondering if you could. The unit is out of warranty, but the motor is under warranty.
