I can’t turn a tripped circuit breaker back on. What should I do?
Typically, if you notice a tripped circuit breaker in your electrical panel, you simply need to reset it. To do so, flip the switch to the “off” position completely. You should hear a click, letting you know the switch is fully set to “off.” Next, move the switch back to the “on” position. If the circuit breaker doesn’t trip again, it’s been reset successfully. If, however, you’re unable to successfully reset the circuit breaker, and keeps tripping when set to “on,” the circuit may be overloaded or shorted. I just spoke with Kevin. This is Nicole. We had an appointment today, but the technician had to go to the hospital for his wife's birth, so we rescheduled it for tomorrow. The boss asked me to narrow it down. Instead of 12 to 3, she wants it from 11 to 12 PM or 1 to 3 PM. This is for the stove.
I can help you with that. We give 3-hour windows for our technicians to do other jobs. But don't worry since our technicians will give you a call once they're on their way.
Are there things I shouldn’t be flushing down the toilet?
We get this question a lot, and the answer is that you shouldn’t be flushing anything down the toilet besides your waste and a small amount of toilet paper. We can send a specialist today between 11am and 2pm. Let me remind you how we work. We have a service call fee for the visit, that is for a full physical diagnostic of the unit. And once you decide to proceed with us, the service call fee will be waived. You can pay us with a debit or credit card or with a check; we do not accept cash for now. And the specialist will call you half an hour before the arrival. Please keep your phone active.
Can I replace a four-prong plug with a three-prong plug?
The National Electric Code (NEC) requires new installations to provide a second neutral on all 220V appliances. You can replace the four-prong cord with a three-prong cord, but the safer option would be to upgrade the electrical supply to your 220V appliances.
This is Jessica again from the Electrician Service Team. I have already spoken with our managers. We can send you an electrician for tomorrow with a free estimate to do your panel update.
