When Should Ductwork Be Cleaned?
If you’ve never had your air ducts cleaned before, you may need them cleaned. If you’ve had a recent cleaning, you’re probably wondering when you’ll need a cleaning next. This depends on the residents of your home. If you have a pet that frequently sheds, a smoker in the home, if you’ve recently obtained water damage, and if you have allergies or asthma, you could benefit from more frequent cleanings. In general it is good to clean your air ducts about every 5 years.
